Hi there. We’re Karn Creative.

We’re a team that has been crafting messages and making them look good together for over ten years. We started our careers at traditional advertising agencies in Buffalo, NY and Burlington, VT, then made the switch to work as an independent shop in 2008.

Kevin Karn

Kevin Karn is the design side of Karn Creative. With a rare combination of true proficiency in both print and interactive art direction, Kevin has an eye for clean, purposeful, and conceptual visual representations of information. His design sense focuses less on fleeting trends and more on well-tailored pieces that work hard and cut through the clutter. Based in the mountain town of Boulder, Colorado, Kevin is always ready to head outdoors to climb, backpack, paddle, snowboard, or hop on a bike to explore the latest craft brew offerings.

Devon Karn

Devon Dams-O’Connor is the copywriting half of our duo. She cultivates copy that’s memorable, concise and conceptually sound. She also writes for food and farming magazines and has been published in Buffalo Spree, Edible Green Mountains, Vermont’s Local Banquet, and Buffalo Magazine. Her journalism background is evident in her succinctly fact-based, descriptive storytelling approach to copy. Devon also wields a strong account management skillset, making sure projects stay on strategy, on budget, and on time. Outside her office in Buffalo, New York, Devon’s probably out digging in the dirt, cooking six things at once, canning all manner of produce, or perhaps lifting a barbell over her head.

Additionally, we maintain relationships with a number of other collaborators – designers, developers, illustrators, photographers, and other creative geniuses – so that we can adapt to any given project or client with just the right team.

We work mostly with small, independent businesses and non-profits that recognize and desire good communication design, but don’t always have the budget or the inclination to hire a bigger agency. Our clients are nice people with a passion for what they do, and they’re interested in a long-term relationship with a creative team who will do its homework and get genuinely psyched about their organization’s business and mission.

If it sounds like we’d be a good fit to work with you, please get in touch.
